How quickly are orders processed?
Order processing speed varies depending on the time of year. Most of the time, orders are processed within 24 business hours. The first two weeks of the semester are our peak times, and we ask that you allow at least 48 hours for orders placed during these times to be processed. We are closed on the weekends, so any order placed on a Friday would not be processed until the following Monday.

I just placed my order. How long will it take my order to be available to pick up at the Bookstore?
We ask that you allow at least one business day for your order to be processed before coming to pick it up at the Bookstore. You will receive an email when your order is ready to be picked up. During peak times, such as the first two weeks of classes, the high volume of orders we receive means that your order will take longer to process. Please wait until you receive your email saying that the order is ready before coming to pick up your order.

When will I be charged for my order?
If you have specified that you would like to pick up your order at the Bookstore, your card will not be charged until the time of pickup. It is not an automatic process. Your order will not be rung up until you arrive to claim it.

If you have placed an order online, you will not be charged until we have been able to pull all of your ordered items. Your card is not automatically charged for anything--we will manually charge you once we have verified that we have everything in stock. If an item is out of stock, we will send you a backorder notice and ship what we do have in stock.

How long will the Bookstore hold items to be picked up in store?
We will hold the items for five business days. At that point, they will be returned to the shelf and the order will be considered dropped. You will not be charged if this happens. 
 
How does the Bookstore ship its items?
Most of the Bookstore's items are shipped out via UPS. If you need your order by a specific date, please allow for processing and shipping time. The store is not open on weekends, and we ship out orders every day from Monday through Friday. Orders placed during peak times will take longer to be processed for shipment.

For orders comprised only of small items that can fit in a small envelope, such as keychains or lanyards, your order will be shipped out via USPS at a reduced cost. Packages shipped out via USPS are not trackable or insured.

I would like to exchange or return an item I ordered. What should I do?
You may either call the Bookstore at 337-475-5494 or use our contact form for further instructions. Please have your order number ready if calling or include it in the body of your message if using the contact form.

I have a specific question about my order/need to cancel my order/need to update my order. What do I do now?

I am a parent/guardian and I would like to pay for my child's textbooks. How would I do this?
Just place your order online as you would normally and specify the name of the person to be picking up the textbooks in the "Special Instructions" field of the order form. Once the order is processed, we will send you an email saying that the order is ready. You will not be charged for the items until the time of pickup, and items will be held for five business days. Please let the person picking up the books know what name the order was placed under or the order number, as this will allow us to make sure we've matched them with the correct order.

Can I rent a textbook online?
No. Textbooks must be rented in person at the Bookstore, no exceptions. If you are picking up an order of textbooks in the store and one of them is eligible to rent, you may rent it then. We do not ship out rental textbooks. Only active students of McNeese may rent textbooks, and textbooks may not be rented by anyone else but the student. For example, a parent may not rent a textbook for his or her child. A parent may pay for the child's textbook rental, but the child must complete all paperwork and the transaction themselves. Please refer to our Rental FAQ for more information on renting textbooks.

I want to pay my PTA. Where do I do that?
The Bookstore does not take PTA payments. Payments may be made in person with cash, check, or money order at the Cashier's Office. They also may be made online by visiting Banner Self-Service.

Do you take American Express?
No. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.

Do you take checks?
We cannot accept checks as payment for a web order unless it is an order to be picked up in the store.

Can I have my items shipped to my P.O. Box?
The Bookstore must have a physical address for shipping. We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes, and your order will be delayed if you do not give us a physical mailing address.

What is your return policy?

1. Original receipt is required for all returns, refunds, and exchanges of textbooks and merchandise.

2. Textbooks that were purchased for the current semester may be refunded or exchanged through the first Friday of that semester. Textbooks must be in original packaging and/or shrink-wrap and free of any damage, markings, or use.

3. Merchandise may be refunded or exchanged when returned within 7 days of purchase. For a refund, the merchandise must be in unused, unopened, and new condition with the original tags attached; for an exchange, the merchandise must be in resale condition.

You must contact the Bookstore before shipping back any items to be returned, either through calling us at (337) 475-5494 or through using our contact form. All web orders to be returned MUST have the printed cash register receipt. The email that is sent out upon placing a web order is not a valid receipt for returns.
